Accenture’s Emerging Technology Innovation Group is currently looking for creative Technology Architects. Are you our new colleague?
The Emerging Technology Innovation (ETI) group is responsible for pioneering and championing the use of advanced and emerging technology architectures in Accenture’s clients, such as Big Data, NoSQL technologies, distributed lightweight systems, Open Source Software, high Security systems, API enablement and e.g. video analytics.
We investigate, incubate and bring to our clients new technologies and techniques, through innovative engagements, which have the potential to transform the IT architecture and practices of our clients.
Accenture’s ETI practice provides a unique opportunity for entrepreneurial technology architects to be focused on emerging technologies and finding opportunities to architect the next generation, large-scale business systems and infrastructure at our clients, working with some of Accenture’s clients, across North America.
Opportunities:
We expect you to be creative and energetic with a strong interest in technology. You have broad skills and experience with many software and infrastructure products, technologies and services and you are capable of shaping and delivering innovative technology solutions of heterogeneous components.
You will be responsible for:
· Architecting complex IT solutions based on emerging technologies for Accenture’s clients;
· Developing strong relationships with technology vendors to influence emerging product strategies and
· Developing new IT frameworks, delivery approaches and methods and championing them with our clients and within Accenture’s Technology practice.
You will be based in one of Accenture’s main North American offices (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa, Washington DC), but will be expected to regularly travel across North America.
We expect you to have the following qualifications.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
· A minimum of 3 years of experience in architecting, designing, implementing IT architectures and applications
· Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering (or similar field)
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in common architecture frameworks and services, including those available from Open Source communities;
· Experience in one or more of Accenture’s Architecture Innovation focus areas: Cloud Computing, Complex Event Processing, Dynamic languages and advanced Java, Massive Data Warehouses, Advanced Business Process Management systems, Open Source Software (with project delivery experience using Liferay, Talend, Alfresco), high Security systems, Next Generation IT technologies, and Extreme Transaction Processing systems;
· Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language
· Experience in IT-related fields and a strong interest in leading-edge technologies;
· Highly developed critical evaluation skills, and the ability to assess the potential impact of emerging technologies;
· Ability to propose innovative technology solutions within the constraints of large-scale enterprises, and take the lead in implementing and evaluating these solutions;
· Strong presentation skills, with the ability to articulate the larger implications of an emerging technology or practice;
· Experience in IT delivery life-cycle planning and management methodologies and tools.

• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment;
• Highly developed critical evaluation skills, and the ability to assess the potential impact of emerging technologies;

• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate the larger implications of an emerging technology or practice;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and is a self- starter: the candidate should possess the ability to take a pre-qualified opportunity, undertake exploratory meetings with the sales director and the client in order to drive a solution, proposal, and to close the deal;
• Ability to work in a consultative manner to address client requirements and work collaboratively on a target solution.
