COMMUNICATION ENGINEER JOB IN US( WASHINGTON DC)

Overview:
The Wireless Communication Engineer will be responsible for applications for a broad spectrum of mobile operating systems (i.e. BlackBerry OS, Apple iOS, Android OS, Windows 8 Mobile, etc.) as required by the customer.
Responsibilities:
  • Ability to custom concept, design, build, test, support, and implement new and existing mobile applications into the enterprise as approved by the customer.
  • Participate in the overall maintenance of the application, including bug fixes, performance enhancements and runtime production support.
  • Ensure Mobile Application patches are tested and evaluated to work within the existing architecture.
  • Coordinate any new Mobile Application refreshes as new versions, upgrades, and replacements become available.
  • Maintain a copy of the Mobile Application’s documentation.
  • Ensure Mobile Application manuals are updated to reflect changes in the operational environment and inconsistencies or errors are addressed.
  • Ensure documents are delivered to the user community as directed by the WCP using custom created guides and internal SharePoint sites for each mobile application designed.
  • Maintain a revision history of the Mobile Application’s documentation.
Qualifications:
BS degree in an IT discipline
Minimum of five years’ experience in developing and deploying mobile applications to mobile smartphone operating systems such as Apple iOS, Android OS, Windows OS, and BlackBerry OS using vendor deployment portals and tools such as:

  Previous UI development for SaaS applications.
  Experience with UX/UI testing of mobile applications.
  Demonstrated mastery of web 2.0.
  Expert level JS, CSS, HTML skills
  Project experience in Sencha Touch, PhoneGap & ExtJS.
  Familiarity with cross-browser and cross-domain issues, hacks, solutions.
  Familiarity with JAVA, Objective C/Xcode, HTML5 and or JSP a plus.
  Familiarity with KnockoutJS, Backbone or other JS-based MVC framework a plus.
  Familiarity with Grid Source Code Control.
  Recent development experience with Mobile WebKit, UIKit, or Cocoa is required.
