Job Description:
SRA International is seeking to hire a Senior Unified Communications Engineer/Master to support our contract with the National Cancer Institute (NCI). This position will be located in Rockville, Maryland.
Acting as the Team Lead for the UC Team as directed by Managers, the successful candidate will provide support for a NCI Unified Communications (UC) infrastructure including management of the central infrastructure and end user support. The scope of this effort includes the full range of infrastructure, network, telephony, video, meeting collaboration, support, and management tasks required to plan, design, implement, and support an Enterprise UC system in multiple NCI buildings. NCI maintains a Cisco based UC infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities:
Team Lead 16 member team
Manages implementation of new UC suites and solutions
Participates as the UC representative on integrated project teams, working groups and other initiatives
Meets with customer to determine requirements for UC solutions and/or initiatives
Creates SOPs for common support tasks
Manages the Dial Plan Architecture
Manages Access Gateways
Manages Catalyst Digital Signaling Processor Provisioning
Manages IP Phones
Manages VoIP System Architecture, including redundant services
Troubleshoots IP Telephony Solutions
Monitors alerts
Configures and maintains NIH Active Directory synchronization with the CallManager system
Works with NIH CIT Telecommunications in troubleshooting Primary Rate Interface (PRI) connections and Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) trunks
Provides technical guidance and support to junior technicians
Weekly Hours: 40
# Required: Basic Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* 12+ years of IT knowledge and demonstrated hands-on experience and/or training in network/UC engineering and administration including 4-7 years in Unified Communication space.
* Experience with leading medium sized teams
* Experience with architecture and design of network/UC systems as well as O&M;
* Experience supporting telephony, video, network and other collaboration devices
* Required experience with one or more of the following technologies: Cisco Telepresence endpoints, Cisco CallManager 8.X, Tandberg Video Conferencing systems, Expressways and related hardware, Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) gateways, routers and server hardware, Cisco MeetingPlace, Presence, Unity Connection, Emergency Responder, CUCM, UCCX, Enterprise Instant Messaging (Cisco Jabber)
* One or more of the following certifications required: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Voice, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Voice, Cisco Certified Voice Professional

* ITIL foundations certification or ability to obtain certification within 3 months desired
* Enterasys Certified Expert (ECE)
