Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and at least 5 years experience in product design/development and at least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities.
Must have knowledge of or experience in three or more of the following systems; brake systems, engine systems, transmission systems, HVAC systems, sensors, controls, instrumentation, power distribution systems, J1939/CAN protocol, J1708 protocol, embedded microcontroller electronics and simulation on electrical power system and wire system.
Knowledge of the regulations affecting motor vehicles including DOT, FMVSS, CMVSS, SAE and any regulation for our global market such as ECE, Contran is desirable.
Project management experience is strongly preferred.
Responsible for gathering requirements from the customer, generate and coordinate the system level requirements for an electrical subsystem and document those requirements in a defined structure which include hardware, software, component, electronic, diagnostic and serviceability.
Responsible for performing sFMEA, providing validation requirements, reviewing validation data, preparing Interface Control Document, provide requirements to the supplier and manage supplier product design, release and validation.
