Adecco Engineering and Technical has an immediate job opening for a MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER in Columbus, OH. We are seeking a degreed engineer with CAD modeling experience in CatiaV5 or other advanced 3D modeling programs. Our client is a Tier 1 Automotive supplier to Honda and is one of the leading manufacturing companies in the Columbus area. Qualifications:
B.S. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
3 years experience in Automotive Seating Product Design
Knowledge of safety regulations test setup pertaining to automotive seating products (FMVSS, ECE, DIN, etc)
Proficient with Catia v5 modeling and drafting
Evaluate the Development of plastic, sheet metal, mechanism, foam, seat parts
2D/3D Complex Modeling
Knowledge of strength, manufacturability, cost
Complex Layout – suggest counter measures to meet concept and cost targets
Proto Build Review and Problem Countermeasure Evaluation
Customer Liaison
Documents in Power Point for explanation
2D/3D parametric solid/surface modeling and drafting
Basic knowledge or experience with FEA pre/post processing (Catia v5, Hypermesh, LS-Dyna, etc.)
Strong engineering design and analysis skills (statics, dynamics, tolerance stack, DFMEA, FTA, and statistical analysis)
Knowledge of automotive design and standards (JIS is preferred)
Compensation:
$53,000 - $65,000 base salary
